Product Overview

Melles Griot offers a wide selection of adjustable optical mounts including kinematic mirror mounts, flexure mirror mounts, polarizer rotators, prism mounts, gimbal mirror mounts and two-axis component positioners. Kinematic mirror/beamsplitter mounts offer an ideal, low-cost means of providing tilt in two axes. They use the traditional three-point method for holding mirrors and have removable 102-TPI stainless steel adjustment screws that provide exceptionally smooth adjustment. The fexure mounts are designed to hold mirrors and beamsplitters securely. The front plate is constrained by three re-entrant stainless steel flexures, ensuring precise, controlled motion. Gimbal mirror mounts do not translate the refelcted beam during angular adjustment because the azimuth and elevation axes pivot about a point at the center of a mirror's surface. The general-purpose gimbal mirror/beamsplitter mounts provide a way to achieve translation-free angular adjustment for front-surface mirrors and beamsplitters. These holders are available for 12.5 to 12.7, 25.0 to 25.4, and 50.0 to 50.8-mm-diameter mirrors and may be mounted using standard posts, pillars, or bases. Polarizer rotators are designed to mount and rotate dichroic sheet polarizers, infrared polarizers, calcite prism polarizers, and quartz or mica retardation plates. Two-axis component positioners allow the optical axis to be easily adjusted in two orthogonal axes.
