Over time, the catalyst material is being used in catalytic oxidizers on industrial, commercial, and soil remediation emission abatement can loose its ability to meet minimum destruction rate efficiency (DRE) requirements. With years of experience in the design, manufacturing, and service of catalytic oxidizer systems we offer a complete range of catalyst services including trouble-shooting, performance analysis, regeneration and replacement.
The first step in Anguil's approach is to examine the reason for catalyst nonperformance. Often an on-site equipment performance review conducted by one of our field service technicians allows us to determine the cause and the eventual solution to the low DRE levels being experienced. The site visit consists of a Preventive Maintenance Evaluation (PME) in combination with a laboratory catalyst test analysis.
There are several potential reasons for catalyst failure or deactivation such as the possibility of catalyst masking, or the presence of a poisoning agent (i.e. silicones, sulfur, phosphorous, or heavy metals) within the VOC-laden process stream. The testing service that we offer is an extensive laboratory analysis of the catalyst activity, potential poisoning levels, and surface area analysis. Additionally, depending upon the results, we are also able to offer a performance test in which we can determine if rejuvenation is possible. A catalyst performance report will then be provided in which we may recommend regeneration or replacement of the catalyst.
Additional catalyst services that are offered include rejuvenation and a "Buy-Back" program in which we can purchase back spent precious metal catalyst for eventual recycling.
